Step-by-Step Instructions:

  3. Add baking soda, flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl, and mix them with a spatula.
  4. Next, add the butter ,eggs and sugar to a big bowl and mix.

  7.  Add chopped walnuts. Mix lightly with a spatula.
  8. Transfer this batter to your prepared cake mold , then smooth its top using a spatula.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes. After 40 minutes, check on the cake; baking times can vary. The cake will appear golden with slightly browned edges and test with a toothpick placed in the center till it comes clean.
  10. Remove cake from mold after ten minutes, and let it fully cool on the wire rack.

Frosting Preparation:

  1. Mix cream cheese and butter in a bowl. Incorporate the powdered sugar in two batches and beat until it is light and airy.
  2. Mix one teaspoon of vanilla essence into the batter.
  3. Apply frosting on the cooled cake after adding 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Refrigerate it for around 30 minutes prior to serving.
  4. Garnish with additional chopped walnuts if desired. It enhances the cake’s presentation.

Recipe Tips and Variations:

  • Use ripe bananas that are spotty and a little brown for the best results. Otherwise, you will not get the required taste.
  • You can add pecans or almonds instead of walnuts.
  • You can add more sweetness using large chocolate chips, which won’t completely melt even when cooked.
  • Nuts are complimentary but offer a wonderful texture.
  • Icing is a choice; you can always replace it with buttercream, vanilla frosting, etc.
  • Add 1/4 cup canola, vegetable, or olive oil to the cake to keep it moist.
